Harris/Edwardes Interclub Win!

We entered a team into the 2024 Harris/Edwardes Interclub Competition, minor division (rating 1550 and under), played over two Sunday afternoons at the Blue Gum Community Centre at Brentwood. Congratulations for a closely fought win to Calan Curtis, Suhail Sheikh, Leo Ross, Trevor Ford, and Ian Ting. Honourable mention to Ian, who stood by as reserve for week 1, and helped us clinch a 1/2 point competition win in the final round on week 2. After a clean sweep of all four games in rounds 1 and 2 on the first Sunday, we could only manage a single draw in round 3, but stormed home with 4 wins in the final round.

Well done also to our "sister club", Swan Valley, who took the major competition (1950 and under) by a 1/2 point, with particularly strong performances from our "dual-citizenship" regulars Pres Dylan Gough and Noor Rahmani, who ruled undefeated on board 1.
